[Some might recognize one of the Row houses behind ~~Eliot~~ Kenneth as he's concentrating really hard on the PCD. Given the first mutterings, the concentration was clearly needed just to get the network post started. The fact that he's shirtless, in the rain, is probably related to the shovel he's leaning on.]

Right, so, I was wondering if there's anything about the land that needs concern towards if one wanted to start growing their own food here. Any help would be appreciated, and I'd be willing to exchange services for it. Cooking, hard labor, hunting if you need the meat. It'd be much appreciated.

I have access to a forge and with enough scrap, we can fortify anything.

The key part on the door is that it's a few inches off the ground, and getting sturdy enough hinges for the size it'll have to be. along with deciding what way you want it to close. Some people set up a latch, while others get a hook into the door's post and a rope or chain set in a loop.

[Sokka laughs.] We can cross that corral when we get to it, all right? For now, one step at a time.

[A pause.] What's your name? I'm Sokka.

It's something to keep in mind when looking for supplies.

[Nods.]

Well, survival's a pretty good motivation.

Actually motivation is survival -- anything else is just existing. But I definitely agree with the sentiment. Anyway, if we happen to have any extra seeds or any tips we discover along the way, I'll be sure to let you know.

Depends on what one counts as surviving, especially when you can decide what you want kind or survival.
