verydistinct[For once, the PCD turns on when 'Kenneth' intended it to. When he does, he's leaning back against the couch in his house and looking more serious than the times people have talked to him over the network.]
I generally don't do this kind of thing, but all this lying is starting to get to mefor some reason. My name's not Kenneth Crane, and I'm not a country singer. I'm Eliot Spencer; a... retrieval specialist that's part of this pro bono team. The guitar thing?
[He reaches off camera, grabbing the instrument by the neck and showing it on camera. After tossing it to spin, catching it before it hits anything, he puts it back off to the side.]
Our client was hurt and deprived of a lot of things by a record executive. To even things out, we started what's called a Fiddle Game; a con. So everything was part of an alias, keeping in with the role. I kept with it and lied because I've made a lot of enemies. So it was better that I kept the alias in case some of those enemies actually showed up.
Anyway, I'm sorry about the deception. I'm a man of my word though, so everything offered still stands. Lessons and other services are still open as long as you're okay with that.

Base reading, then. Due to him proving to only to be considered a danger if provoked or under influence of an event, I didn't set him as a priority. That and I don't understand the magic with the markers, so information on that is minimal. I'd set him as a good guy, in the sense of being a loyal friend that would do anything he could to help and protect those close to him, or seem to need it. There's also something distinctive that says he's either a private detective, has or had been learning to become one. After I determined that much, I decided that there wasn't any need to go deeper into particulars but instead watch for a sharp turn in personality.

Do you view everyone in terms of being a potential threat, and dismiss whomever does not seem to be as being of little note? Would it not prove more beneficial to you to befriend those who are kind, rather than dismiss them as being of little interest?

Date: 2011-09-27 03:13 am (UTC)Do you read into every detail of the lives to someone that could actually be viewed as a friend, or someone you typically wouldn't be faced in a fight against? You wanted to know about reading people, and in that I determine the importance of how much should be read, and how much information the person should be allowed to offer themselves. Low priority means giving them the respect to reveal such information on their own, instead of being analyzed.
If you want perspective, he's set not too far from my teammates and friends when I first started getting to know them.

Saxon feels differently about it. During this event he'll feel it's horrible, but when we talked during the time you were a hostage, he scoffed at what Madara did, and felt he could do better. To him, it's a tool he can use when he wants. His reaction to the mass hypnosis is what had me read further into his character and history here.

Date: 2011-09-28 11:20 pm (UTC)He - he was likely scared, but did not wish to admit to such a thing. Men will say foolish things when they wish to appear brave. My cousin does this often. I have seen his reaction from the devices, after I returned home, and seen the concern he displayed for me. He has never attempted such things upon me, Mr. Spencer. Never. And if he told Madara such things, it was likely an attempt to enrage the man and loosen his hold upon us all. Men who are enraged cannot control things easily, and this I know to be true, regardless of what it is they control. And he was part of the party which rescued us all - hardly something one would do if he felt no sympathy for those taken.
If he does possess such a tool, then the other Lord of Time must possess it as well. And that one, I do not trust. What have your observations told you of him, of the Doctor?

Date: 2011-09-28 11:38 pm (UTC)[Considers. That's one that's a little difficult. He's wanted to analyze the Doctor more, but there's too many dead ends thanks to conversations getting turned to private.]
The Doctor is the one where there's two of them, right? I've wanted to learn more, but many conversations on the network cut off. What I do know is that he has many friends who are both loyal and very protective of the Doctor. By his character, I've judged him as one that likes to play hero, running away from many things, and also acts like a child with his fascination towards everything. I don't know about trust, but there is a distinct probability of danger. It's unknown if the Doctor had also learned and trained the ability to control others, but he also might not need it most of the time.

So far as I understand such things. He and Lord Saxon have known each other for hundreds of years, from what Lord Saxon has said. They were friends, but the man betrayed their friendship, and has rebuffed every attempt Lord Saxon has made to forgive him and make amends. He has done Lord Saxon a grave injury, and still my friend offers a hand of friendship to him. To hear he may be dangerous does not surprise me in the least.

Date: 2011-09-30 06:04 am (UTC)Those two have a relationship that I don't see as being quite that way. I see there having been wrongs on both sides, and attempts to reach out to the other. Neither part is one-sided. As for Saxon, I'm going to stick to what I've said; Ask him about what happened in July, and follow up to learn more. Just remember that you have a limited time. After the event, you won't get the knowledge you need.
